What I Offer
Emotional Education and Life Coaching
My clients have shown me over and over again that people will always behave in more effective and fulfilling ways if they are taught how to do so. I don't view people as "sick" but rather in need of "emotional education". Simply put, I believe that people do not want to suffer, but do so because they have not been given the tools they need to develop more satisfying behavior. My work in emotional education and life coaching focuses on teaching the emotional skills people need to make their lives more satisfying.
I work with individuals, couples, families and groups who desire to:
- Transform feelings of depression, anxiety and fear
- Increase self-esteem
- Improve the quality of their relationships
- Become more intimate
- Improve parenting skills
- Overcome addictive, obsessive or compulsive behaviors
- Heal from past pain
- Cope with illness
- Attain career fulfillment
- Find greater meaning in their lives
There is a wonderful synergy that is created by combining traditional psychotherapeutic modalities with emotional education. As you are taught to react more effectively to current life stress you automatically feel more powerful. Learning concrete problem-solving strategies strengthens you and accelerates your progress in therapy. If you have been disappointed with therapy, self-help or 12-step programs you'll find that this unique form of emotional education and life coaching will give you the result you desire.
